Hi all, I'm taking the first contacts with Kali and with the default installation I found that GNOME 3 it's little customizable. To have more control over the look it's necessary to install the gnome-tweak-tool:

# apt-get install gnome-tweak-tool

and then select System Tools -> Preferences -> Advanced settings

Yes but I wonder why the applets /Apps/panel disappeared from Gconf-editor and then why we can't right click on panel to move it etc ...

If you go to Applications / System Tools / and find the dconf Editor - - you can use it to turn on the buttons in your panels, as well as showing hidden files (permanently) in nautilus etc etc etc.

I'm pretty sure there is a way to add the 'minimize all windows' button to the taskbar using dconf, but I can't find it. Happen to know how to do this?

I know Cairo-Dock and Docky have desklets or widgets to "Show Desktop". Not sure how to do it in default Gnome.
