I've recently noticed at my work our Kali machines have been acting funny and now allowing me to set static IP's either through the GUI or otherwise. I noticed that when I load kali onto my machines at first it works just fine but once I update them thats when I start seeing issues. Setting a static IP just doesnt stick. As soon as I hit save all the networking windows close and nothing actually saves.
I thought I would come home and try recreating the issue on some vm's. I downloaded the ISO and created a few VMs but this time once I've loaded them I cant set any static ips period. Has anyone else noticed this or can provide a solution? I've only noticed it in the past week or so. Thanks in advance for the help.
