Kali AWS instance -Arrow keys in qterminal

After upgrading to the latest Kali rele
ase, my arrow keys no longer show history, go to end of command. Anything they did in previous versions. When pressing up, down, left or right. I get A.B.C.D.

I am using an AWS instance via vnc.

Any help would be great! Currently studying for my oscp and this is really making things tougher than they need to be.

In a Kali terminal try;

stty raw -echo

which will tell your terminal to pass keyboard shortcuts etc through to the shell.
