Hi all,
Thanks for help in advance.
Here is the situation:
- Toshiba Portege z-30 laptop with Windows 10 Pro.
- VMware Workstation 17 Player.
- Kali - the last version on this website for VMware.

During the installation into VMware, that last only for few seconds, no script or window pop up on the screen, to set up any password. Opening first time the player, after restoring, Kali request user ID and password.
Is there any default user ID and password?
How can I set up the user and password?
Cheers.

Right above the link you used to download it it says "These images have the default credentials (https://www.kali.org/docs/introduction/default-credentials/) "kali/kali".... really? you didn't even read anything?

Sorry, I missed to mention the first 20-ish attempts to log in were kali/kali and never worked. I have thought it was updated and I didn't catch it.
Magically, after 5 days of doing nothing, it works fine on the first try.
Thanks.
