Having installed Kali on the system using a UEFI bootable USB drive and configured Bumblebee to spare my battery life, I noticed that when switching between Windows 8 and Kali, there is a 2 hour time difference between the OSes. Windows 8 is configured to use the MS Internet time server and Kali has been configured to use network time. However when switching from W8 to Kali, the time in Kali seems to have jumped 2 hours forward. If you correct the time manually, even when configured to use internet time, and then switch to Windows the Windows time has jumped 2 hours backwards and vice versa.

Hardware config:
Dell XPS 15 L521x
Intel i7
SSD
Intel HD4000/nvidia GT 640M

2 primary UEFI Bootable partitions
OS1 = Windows 8 Enterprise
OS2 = kali-linux-1.0.2-amd64

Anyone have an idea what could be causing this?

Windows assumes the computer's clock is localtime. Linux assumes it is UTC. I tried to set Kali to use local time but it didn't work. I was able to set windows to UTC and it works fine. Read the following thread on how to set windows to UTC.
