I installed the RTL8812AU adapter from info found on this forum. I have Kali Linux installed to the local hard drive yesyerday. I am currently using an older slow TP-Link wifi card natively supported.

Running ifconfig shows this

wlan0: flags=4163<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,MULTICAST> mtu 1500
inet 192.168.50.206 netmask 255.255.255.0 broadcast 192.168.50.255
inet6 fe80::223:cdff:feb9:f3a prefixlen 64 scopeid 0x20<link>
ether 00:23:cd:b9:0f:3a txqueuelen 1000 (Ethernet)
RX packets 1578 bytes 576709 (563.1 KiB)
RX errors 0 dropped 0 overruns 0 frame 0
TX packets 284 bytes 35722 (34.8 KiB)
TX errors 0 dropped 0 overruns 0 carrier 0 collisions 0

wlan1: flags=4099<UP,BROADCAST,MULTICAST> mtu 2312
ether 6a:f8:19:d7:99:eb txqueuelen 1000 (Ethernet)
RX packets 0 bytes 0 (0.0 B)
RX errors 0 dropped 0 overruns 0 frame 0
TX packets 0 bytes 0 (0.0 B)
TX errors 0 dropped 0 overruns 0 carrier 0 collisions 0

The second one is the USB WiFi I want to use as it is a very good Alfa card on other systems that works very well with RTL8812AU

lsusb shows this

Bus 002 Device 007: ID 148f:2573 Ralink Technology, Corp. RT2501/RT2573 Wireless Adapter #WORKING
Bus 002 Device 008: ID 0bda:8812 Realtek Semiconductor Corp. RTL8812AU 802.11a/b/g/n/ac 2T2R DB WLAN Adapter #Not Working

modprobe of the device shows this

FATAL: Module 8812 not found in directory /lib/modules/6.1.0-kali9-amd64

Did the device driver get placed in the incorrect folder or am I missing something?
