Hi all,

I've just migrated from Backtrack 5r3 and tried to install the Nvidia driver on kali using this guide:http://docs.kali.org/general-use/install-nvidia-drivers-on-kali-linux
Whenever I reboot I just get a black screen. I can still log into a tty, remove the xorg.conf and get back into the GUI.

Any suggestions are welcome,

Thanks

I'm having the same issue. I think that guide is based on the Nvidia card being the only card in the PC. My device has 2 cards as probably does yours and will probably need a subtly different process to get the drivers installed and working.

lspci | grep -i vga
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 3rd Gen Core processor Graphics Controller (rev 09)
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation GK107 [GeForce GT 650M] (rev a1)
