Today, July 26th, after a apt-get update, maltego top controls have disappeared.
I can't find a way to open files using the GUI.
There is anyone with the same problem?

Ok.
If you accept the update for:
icedtea-6-jre-cacao icedtea-6-jre-jamvm openjdk-6-jdk openjdk-6-jre openjdk-6-jre-headless
openjdk-6-jre-lib set
YOU GONNA LOSE THE MALTEGO'S TOP CONTROL BAR.
When someone find the fix, please report.

Ok.
Just apt-get update && apt-get upgrade to obtain MALTEGO TUNGSTEIN.
This will fix the issue.

Done a new OS installation. Tried apt-get update && apt-get upgrade to obtain MALTEGO TUNGSTEIN commercial. Registered my keys. Updated Maltego and same problem is back. No file open, etc TOP BAR. We cannot fix it on Debain, Ubuntu and Kali. Tried ro remove ~/.(dot) matego. Problem still persists. Reinstall also does not work.
Any suggestions etc will be welcomed

I have to tell you that the TOP BAR problem here was solved.
I deleted the ~/.matego folder thenI just ran apt-get update && apt-get upgrade.
