optimize the performance of kali

i want put my kali 1.0.6 more fast
i only thing i do is put swappiness the 60% to 10%
my computer is pentium 4 3.0GHZ 2GB of Ram and HD IDE 80 GB and other SATA2 750gb
GPU ATI RADION HD 2400 PRO
any suggetions

You can check out this link from the forums to speed up nautilus which I think is the biggest issue. Not sure if they fixed it with a Nautilus upgrade yet since I haven't used kali in a few months. I also use Bleachbit to clean up a lot of useless ****, some people are scared of it but to each his own I guess.
