I really would like to get kali up and going but the mirrors are causing me problems! This is exactly what I put in when asked if I wanted to use a Network mirror: "http://http.kali.org/." Then when it shows a list of about 20 different options of where to download them from, I can't ever get connected to the server. I have my computer hard wired and two wireless cards so I know I'm connected to the internet. I didn't want to just sit at that screen so I went along and installed Kali without any of the mirrors. I've tried using the command #wget http://http.kali.org/ and that didn't work. I then went into the /etc/apt/ folder and created a document that looks like this..
#deb http://http.kali.org/kali
#deb-src http://http.kali.org/kali
And then saved it in that directory. when I run the sudo apt-get update command I get an error message saying "Ignoring file 'mirrors.conf' in directory '/etc/apt/sources.list.d/' as it has an invalid extension name."
If someone can please help me with this that would be awesome, even if I have to reinstall everything!!
