Hi all,

I keep running into the following problem trying to install kali within a virtualbox VM at about 80% progress: 425

Host: windows 7 home premium 64bit

Using the 64bit kali iso file downloaded from the website.

Have the VM configured as follows:

"Version: Linux 2.6 / 3.x (64 bit)"
10GB hard drive
512MB ram

"Network > Adapter 1 > Enable Network Adapter 'ticked' > "Attached to: Bridged Adapter"
"System > Processor > Extended Features: Enable PAE/NX 'ticked' "

Help welcomed.

Which step does fail?
apt-configuration or another?

You probably need more disk space for the installation.

It says "Install the system" is the step that is failing.

Adding more disk space to the virtual machine > no change.

Try troubleshooting the installation - http://docs.kali.org/installation/troubleshooting-a-kali-linux-install

This error can occur due to lack of hard drive space
