View Full Version : N7 2012 Always randomly reboots when running Metasploit

C1M7
2015-02-06, 19:31
My n7 always reboots when I have msfconsole running but, only when Postgres and Metasploit services are running. If I don't start the database, msf runs fine and never reboots. I obviously can just not use the database but I want to save creds, loot, hosts, ect.. Any thoughts?

Edit: I also notice the same behavior when Apache is running as well just not every time

It's possibly a memory issue (not enough). you can always do a: cat /proc/last_kmsg > /sdcard/debug.txt which may provide some information to help.

This is the last_kmsg output, I don't what to look but it is after the reboot. It too big so I'm splitting it into 2 posts.

I do not see any kernel panics. I'm unsure if this was cut off or not, you may want to try posting to pastebin.com next time. But nothing here indicates cause of issue.

try this https://forums.kali.org/showthread.php?24474-Nexus-10-Nethunter-freezeing read bottom post as this was an issue with N10 as well.

cr1p70 and I had a discussion about this on github in case anyone is interested in a follow up: https://github.com/offensive-security/kali-nethunter/issues/176

Creating a swap file seemed to fix memory issue.
