View Full Version : Build for Nexus 9 - TL-WN722N not working

All,

I successfully build for the Nexus 9, everything seems to be working except for mij TL-WN722N wireless usb stick. When I connect it I can see it in dmesg and in lsusb, yet it never loads a driver and it never apears in iwconfig/ifconfig. I've tried a usb mouse and that works perfectly.

Any ideas? Do I need to edit the kernel before building or am I just missing something obvious?

Best regards!

All,

I jumped the gun again I believe, I read that the Ath9k drivers just don't compile correctly, that's why my wireless usb stick is not working. So I either find out why with some time consuming reverse engineer, or wait patiently for a working nexus 9 build that will hopefully be release soon :).

Yannickwe,

You are correct. When we build with atheros devices it gets stuck in a boot loop. It's something I've looked at in detail and I'm not sure I will be able to fix before release. Building as a module doesn't seem to help either. Nor does debugging since the bootloop is really early on.

Release was delayed because of Android 5.1.

Alright, hopefully you'll figure it out, I sadly have not (yet) enough experience to help you with it :).

Don't mean to grave dig, but are there any solutions for this yet?

I was able to install and recognize the Atheros chipset on Nexus 9 running Lollipop 5.0.1 with the latest NetHunter Installer. Not as lucky with Lollipop 5.1.1 however. Is Nethunter/Kali completely separate from hardware/OS?
