Hello everybody,

I have installed Kali on my macbook pro (9.1 Early 2011)

In live mode all works fine, no errror, battery indicator works.

After installing kali, i got the boot message:

May 31 23:26:50 kali udevd[567]: timeout: killing '/sbin/modprobe -b acpi:ACPI0002:' [706]

for 120secs, than it timeout.

And there is no battery indicator in the task bar. in live-mode there is.

I have tried the boot parameter acpi=off.
with this parameter there is no error message, but i cant dim the screen anymore.

My Kali is fully updated and i have tried some re-installs.

Could anybody help me?

I've been dealing with this issue as well. Whenever it starts looping the message during boot I just press ctrl-c to keep things going. As for the battery indicator, I have no idea why it does that. I'm running a MacBook Pro mid-2012. I've been having the battery indicator issue off and on. What seems to work for me is kind of odd but it gets the job done for one reason or that other.

Poweroff the machine completely
Remove AC adapter for a bit
Plug the AC adapter back in
Start up the machine
Shut it down again
Start it up

The battery indicator shows after the final start up for me. I have no idea why. I'd like for everything to behave the way it should but it is what it is. Maybe someone else will have better information on it.
