View Full Version : Kali2 very slow and crashing

Hi,
i installed Sana but i found it super slow. am not sure what the issue can be, but opening internet browser or even terminal takes seconds and after awhile it become longer and feels like kali has crashed and i have no choice then powering off .
i use sana in vmware player. i never had this issue with pervious versions

The system requirements for for Kali 2 has increased. Make sure you have at least 2GB of RAM now for the Virtual Machine.

If your system is still having issues - you may with to switch to 'Kali Light' (which uses less resources as its XFCE and not GNOME). You can install the meta package to get all the same tools.

i always give 8GB RAM to my vmware kali, but its too slow. what would be the reason?even opening internet browser or terminal takes sometimes 30seconds! is it only me facing this issue?

@Botmaster, try to manually set the virtualization method on VMware Workstation, and make sure you have it enabled in your BIOS.

Try something like this and let us know if it improved:
