Hello, I have a Nexus 7 2013 with Nethunter lollipop laying on top of a CM 12.1 Nightly ROM with the 3.4.107 Quanta kernel. Will the TPLINK TL-WN821N or the TL-WN722N work straight out of the box with Nethunter. I need to get the OTG with power first though, but I was wondering if those cards will work without me modding the kernel at all? Can I just plug it in and it will work?

Thank you for your help

I have attached a screenshot of my About Tablet menu.

I had issues with lollipop with my wn722n, (that and i think it looks ugly as **** compared to kitkat) on the last nethunter and 2.0.
You can use a multirom loader and set it up with a kali install and normal how you want (should be on this forum, xda or quick google away), I may try lollipop again as I think I can get my cards working on it now plus I have an otg ethernet adapter that requires lollipop.
Personally I run on the same tablet:
Android version:
4.4.4

Kernel version:
3.4.0-Kali-gdce1b01
root@kali #1

Build number:
KTU84P

like I said prefer this as my wifi cards over otg have no issue, but unfortunately I can't use my otg ethernet adapter unless i go to at least 5.1 aka lollipop
hope this helps.

Ok. Good thing I bought the 21N not the 22N. Because I tried KitKat on my Nexus and it just looked depressing and I wanted CM 12.1. I also went with the 21N because it could fit in my pocket without the risk of the antenna being damaged and the card is just faster. I also had a gut feeling it would work. It will be here tomorrow so I will confirm that it works.

I can't get Multi-Rom to work right on my tablet. My tablet has the exact same symptoms as the bad batch Nexus 7s from Groupon (read about it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-7-2013/nexus-7-2013-qa/mount-recovery-t3064562 and I wrote this post here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-7-2013/nexus-7-2013-qa/downgrade-to-kitkat-t3181048/post62379773#post62379773) even though I got this directly through Amazon.
