View Full Version : Touch pad not working on new Dell ?
I just got a new Dell Inspiron 13 3000 ( it came with Ubuntu on it), I have installed the new Kali version 2.0, but the touch pad did not work during the install. I did not think to much of this as I have seen some port with the same trouble. But all have said it worked after reboot. Well Mine did not start working at all. If I plug a USB mouse it will work, but I can not get the touch pad to work at all. dose anyone have a fix or any idea why it will not work?

Did you check the settings in mouse and touchpad? Maybe something just needs to be enabled?

I checked what I could, but i can not even run xinput, I get the error xinput not found. so I am at a lost to know how to fix this.

Open a terminal window and try this command:
synclient tapbutton1=1
Worked for me.
