Hi guys,

I am so close to getting my environment working I just have a (hopefully) small issue getting my Virtual Machine to see & use my USB Wireless Card.

I'm using the following setup:

Oracle Virtual Box 5.0
TP-LINK TL-WN722N Wifi Card
Kali 2.0 64 bit

I have installed the Virtual Box extension so it has USB support and that's switched on for 2.0 support.

The problem I'm having is that in Kali when I do lsusb it reads:

Bus 001 Device 001: ID id6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 80ee:0021 VirtualBox USB Tablet
Bus 002 Device 001: ID id6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub

Similarly if I do iwconfig it tells me:

lo no wireless extensions

If I go to Devices > USB > Atheros USB WLAN 2.0 [0108] I get the following:

USB device 'ATHEROS USB2.0 WLAN' with UUID {2d9396ec-2eed-4b87-8427-c923147e96b1} is busy with a previous request. Please try again later.

Result Code:
E_INVALIDARG (0x80070057)
Component:
HostUSBDeviceWrap
Interface:
IHostUSBDevice {c19073dd-cc7b-431b-98b2-951fda8eab89}
Callee:
IConsole {872da645-4a9b-1727-bee2-5585105b9eed}

By any chance does someone know how to get it working or should I use a different VM?

The drivers are definitely there just not being used or something.

Cheers,
Liam
