I am new to Kali, but I am an avid tinkerer of Linux. I want a very stripped down version of Kali 2.0 running MATE with a theme that as closes resembles the Gnome theme of the default Kali install.
Then I cam across this "Recipe" that is basically exactly what I want.

Problem is, this was made for Kali 1.0 and back then MATE was not officially supported. So the Repos are pointing to old non-existent versions that should now be available in the official Debian repos.
Can someone help me get this "Recipe" in its exact form installed so I can make a VM of it?
