Since the old Nethunter page with the process is gone to do a manual install I figured I'd repost this here on how to do a manual install using Kit-Kat not Lollipop for compatibility with adapters that don't work past Kit Kat.

Alright I'll run down the whole process for you (assuming windows installation)

1.) Download and extract the stock google 4.4 image from here https://dl.google.com/dl/android/aosp/razor-ktu84p-factory-b1b2c0da.tgz and follow the process to restore it to this image https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images?hl=en

2.) Download the KitKat Nethunter version from here http://images.kali.org/kali_linux_nethunter_2.0_razor_kitkat.zip

3.) Follow the steps on the Nethunter prepare page http://www.nethunter.com/prepare/

4.) You shouldn't need to install TWRP as wugsoft's nrt software should for you.

5.) Drag and drop the Nethunter kali image to the root of your sd storage

6.) Boot into TWRP using the TWRP bootmanger app you'll have to snag from the play store

7.) Follow the rest of the install steps http://www.nethunter.com/install/

8.) Wait for it install and reboot

9.) Open a Nethunter shell and run

apt-get update && apt-get install
apt-get upgrade && apt-get dist-upgrade

10.) Should be able to see your TL-WN722N if you power off plug it in and power back on under iwconfig

11.) You'll need to download pciutils to use monitor mode which will be

apt-get update && apt-get install pciutils

12.) Test it by running

airmon-ng check kill
airmon-ng start wlan0
wash -i wlan0mon

13.) To resume normal services

airmon-ng stop wlan0mon
service network-manger start

Hopefully this should get you up and running, just remember unplugging the otg or adapter while the tablet is on will reset the device.

This is likely a very stupid question... but... Here it goes....

I'm on Marshmallow 6.0.0 (MRA58U) and wiped Data/System/Cache then flashed NetHunter without success.

Is NetHunter a stand-alone flashable rom? or are we dirty flashing over stock 4.4.4 (KTU84P)?

(Also all the nethunter.com links are dead)

No offense xNotta but I don't think NetHunther is compatible with Android Marshmallow 6.0.0 yet... From the download section on the official web page, I can't find any links for the 6.0.0 version (<a href="https://github.com/offensive-security/kali-nethunter/issues/260" target="_blank">(https://www.offensive-security.com/kali-linux-nethunter-download/)</a> Guess you'll have to downgrade or wait

My TL-WN722N is still not being read. When I lsusb, its found but if i iwconfig theres nothing. Had a lot less trouble with the original kali pwnpad binkbear did in 2013. A little more steps but a lot less issues.

Having the same issue with Net hunter 2.0 on Nexus 7 2013 Wifi tablet.I'm using a TP-LINK WN722N Wireless card connected over OTG cable used to work on the old net hunter but not in 2.0 now.

I've found MM links on this page (https://www.offensive-security.com/kali-linux-nethunter-download/) I've had success flashing it over a rooted 6.0.1... though am a little new to this tablet-wise and i'm not a 100% certain how to go on about setting it up for wi-fi cracking.. (I understand I won't be cracking someone else's wifi and only attempt this on routers I actually own or have permission to be penetration testing)
I would appreciate any information or links as I want to understand how this all works rather than be spoon fed...

Thanks
