Terminal window won´t open in Kali 2.0 (icon spinning in taskbar, and closes)

Hi

I installed Kali 2.0 (as a virtual machine), but whenever I try to open Terminal, the icon on the taskbar (in top) displays for some seconds - and then dissapares (se attachment). So I can´t open terminal.. Other programs opens without problems.

maybe you need more ram in vm and comp itself ?

I am having the same issue and it's definitely not hardware related, any thoughts or updates? Others have had this issue too but there are no resolutions that I can see...

Hi, I know I'm a bit late, but I'm writing this for future reference if anyone needs it... During the installation of Kali Linux, try and select a region/language other than C! Hope this helps :)

That didn't work plus many other remedies. So, I shut down Kali and also the VM manager then restarted and everything worked again Terminal window included. Haven't tried it a second time yet.
