Hello Everyone,
This is my first post. And it might become pretty big.
I've been using Kali for 2 years now. Started with backtrack 5, so I do have a little bit of background.
What happened is I was dist-upgrading from kali 1.x(I think 1.9) and in the middle my screen became unresponsive...
So... Classic... I rebooted it.
Now I'm left with a whole bunch of unmet dependencies for which I can't do anything.
Tried dpkg --configure -a unsuccessfully
tried apt-get install -f unsuccessfully
apt-get upgrade -f unsuccessfully
apt-get dist-upgrade -f unsuccessfully.
After trying those a few times I got tired and tried
dpkg --configure -a --force-all
Which was maybe a bad idea. Now when I go dpkg --configure -a I don't get a single error. Duh. It just forced dpkg..
If I run my kali normally I don't have a choice for a 4.0 debian.
Still my good old 3.7 kernel. However when I launch it it launches into a shell for Kali 2.0 sana. Which should run on 4.0.... So I'm thinking a lot is held back.
Just can't finish my upgrade.
Lucky I downloaded wicd-cli in case of issues I connected through command line very easily and could cURL my way to the forums (just kidding lol, I also tried to echo | echo | echo | echo lol)
I will post logs ASAP. Making them right now.
This is my developers environment. I have work due and if I don't fix it by tomorrow I'm gonna start being late...
I don't want to reinstall all my ides and stuff either so If someone can help me fix this it would be greatly appreciated.
Logs coming up.
