Steam and LibGL issues on amd64 and kali 2.0

So, ive been trying to get steam up and running for ages now, read through all the threads regarding this issue but nothing is working.

Launching steam from terminal,



kali@kali:~$ steam
Running Steam on kali 2.0 64-bit
STEAM_RUNTIME is enabled automatically
Installing breakpad exception handler for appid(steam)/version(0)
libGL error: No matching fbConfigs or visuals found
libGL error: failed to load driver: swrast


Launching from desktop icon just does nothing.

Recently installed my nVidia drivers, and also installed the nVidia 32bit libraries. Ive tried all commands listed in multiple threads with no luck?

Can someone help!
