hi:)
I state not to be expert:
I'm trying to test the "gpsd + kismet" in Kali,with my GPS-receiver using my android-phone (via bluetooth) ES: my old test with bt5-r3 (http://vimeo.com/46801659)
I tried to install the package gpsd in repository(v 3.6.x), but during testing at the command gpsd -N -n -D 3 / dev / rfcommX I get an error (i think) had to "use the /dev/rfcommX by another process "

now I uninstalled the (new-version) & installed manually older packages :
libgps19_2.92-4_amd64.deb (OR i386)
gpsd_2.92-4_amd64.deb (OR i386)

everything works great :)

PS: one-little problem, kali now want to upgrade my package to the new version!
sorry my english
bye

Auto-Quote :)
for NOT upgrade MY singles-packages(gpsd & libgps19):
open MY terminal:
echo libgps19 hold | sudo dpkg --set-selections
echo gpsd hold | sudo dpkg --set-selections
Auto-bye :)

i don't use script
i only replace [default-packages] in MY-kali with older versions(BT5-r3) && don't upgrade it for MY-TEST!!!
i made an old video with bt5 time ago if this can help you:
