Making calls on Nexus 5 and use as standard phone

If I were to buy a prepaid Sim for my nexus 5 would I be able to make phone calls from the unit with nethunter installed?

yes. its still a phone first, i have a ting card in mine and just leave it on airplane mode most of the time
