View Full Version : Can't get Kali dual boot with Mac
I've tried a couple different guides and I cannot seem to get it working. I followed the one on Kali website , but the osx won't boot as it just has a white circle with diagonals meaning it doesn't see a hard drive. I think the issue is occurring when I install , I use the guided method and want to out it on the 25gb partition and leave osx alone on the rest of the partition.
Anyone else have this issue ?
Thanks

follow this and use the versions of stuff ie refind 8.3 and you will be fine
http://docs.kali.org/installation/kali-linux-dual-boot-on-mac-hardware
I've been trying that guide. After I resized the partitions today I could not boot back into apple.
Also, do I boot into refind or boot into Kali Live? After I install refind. I shut down, then boot the "windows" option from the USB.
When it gets to the Grub Install part, I pick yes and install it on the the hard drive option(there are 3 options, my USB, Hdd, and to enter device manually)
Here we go again.
Just resized my hdd with gparted and now I cannot boot to make. It like keeps screwing it up
