Dear Team,

How can I determine which packages are in the non-free repository?
How can I remove them from the official distribution?

So basically which tools falls outside the "Debian Free Software Guidelines" or "GNU GPL", as described here:

http://docs.kali.org/kali-policy/kali-linux-open-source-policy

Thank you!

you can use 'vrms' package to detect non-free software ;)

Thanks for the information "vrms"

I have some questions regarding the non-free section
1) Am I allowed to use the default distribution in my company?
2) Am I allowed to give the default distribution (DVD/preinstalled PC/VM) to somebody else (for free of course)
3) Some packages listed in non-free section are GPL (eg Nikto) - does anybody know why?

thanks, Leroy

Does anybody have a script to remove all non-free software?
Or is it enough to just "apt-get purge ..." all the software listed above an reinstall them via debian repository?
