View Full Version : Problem creating bootable flash from "Kali Linux armhf" to Raspberry Pi 2

Hi all,

First, I must assume "Kali Linux armhf" is for Raspberry Pi 2, or am I mistaken?

I've downloaded the "Kali Linux armhf" from (https://www.kali.org/downloads/), both Image & Torrent version; then tried both Rufus and Win32DiskImager to make the image onto a MicroSD card, but cannot boot the RPi 2. Nothing happens.

If I follow the link for "Kali ARM Images" on the Download page from above, I get the images at Offensive Security (https://www.offensive-security.com/kali-linux-arm-images/)
The image for 2.0.1 is using an old kernel 3.18.16-v7, and is not part of the new 2016.1 version.

Any ideas how I can get at least 4.0.0 or even the new 2016.1 with Kernel 4.3 into my RPi2 ?

I successfully installed Kali-Linux-2.0.1 on my Raspberry Pi model B. After I performed: apt-get update & apt-get upgrade, I started getting a lot of conflict errors regarding my USB wireless Logitech K400r keyboard. I sometimes could not even log in after boot and startx.

The error message would just run down the terminal:
Transfer to device 4 endpoint 0x1 frame 13 fail....

I gave up and wiped the SDcard. Using Win32 Disk Imager: I burned the new Kali-Linux-2016.1 .img for hard float and soft float. Neither would Boot my Raspberry Pi model B.

Im guessing I have to edit the boot loader information?
