I've been looking everywhere but i cannot find the terminal that is supposed to work with NetHunter.
If anyone can tell me how to get it, that would be fantastic, thank you.

Every terminal emulator would do, but I personally use Termux which works perfectly fine.

thanks for the suggestion but it still doesn't seem to work with the chroot manager on my device

OK I installed it but nethunter still tells me I need to install a terminal? What have I done wrong?

Just get into terminal and write "bootkali".

Command not found.
Plus system folder in chroot is empty.
Busybox is in system xbin

Write down "su", then give the terminal root priveleges. Then write "bootkali' once again. If it still says command not found, you don't have chroot. Flash over chroot from here:

https://idlekernel.com/nethunter/nightly/3.0.5-20160224-0204/chroot-full/

Install Chroot !!!
go to Net hunter menu and install Chroot
and then you will be able to find Terminal
That was the first hing i did when i installed kali originally. My problem is the chroot not detecting my installed terminal.

Install the terminal, then select androidsu shell and leave it open in background,
then install nethunter or if you have already installed, uninstall and reinstall again, it should be able to detect, if fail, open supersu app, grand the permission of terminal or nethunter and leave it in background also, good luck!

So I have full chroot installed, terminal has all permissions and runs by itself perfectly. I still get the same message stated earlier in the thread. I can run NH-Terminal and have installed metapackages manually just fine but I still can't get Nethunter to recognize/find the terminal app.

When you installed nethunter did you click that you wanted a terminal installed with your install? There are lots of options to choise to install or not. Double check.

If you have the terminal and you have granted supersu permissions, but when you open the terminal app it closes make sure that you have opened up the nethunter app (has a little dragon on it) grant it permissions to supersu. Now you should be able to open Kali terminal.

I fixed this error by going to Android Settings menu, then select Apps, then select NetHunter, and finally Permissions. I had to tap Additional permissions and I enabled all 4...

Run terminal commands
Run terminal commands (Kali Linux)
Run terminal commands (Kali Linux)
Run terminal commands (SU)

I don't know if all 4 need to be enabled, but that's what I did.

NO MORE ERROR 🖕🏽👌🏻
