Im running AK kernel which includes the NetHunter patches.
I have a Nexus 6P.

Do I just need the Nethunter app to use the features?

I installed the app, granted su access and switched to se linux permissive.
In the app all the options are greyed out apart from install chroot.
I thought you dont need chroot to use nethunter?

You need chroot (at least minimal). The app itself is pretty much useless without it.

CM13 + NH Kernel or AK Kernel which has NH support.
