Hi there,
I recently installed last version of Kali linux via USB using "Win32 Disk Imager" to burn it.

After a succesfull installation, I noticed a few issues about grub (2.0.2 beta 86):

to update grub, I have to use update-grub and not update-grub2, is that normal ? (sorry if it's a stupid question, I come from a different Distro)
when grub is loaded, it seems buggy, for example sometimes it makes the video memory dirty for few seconds when I load windows
also, when I select an OS from the list using arrow-up key it crashes (hang up and stay still)

So I actually don't know how to access Kali again,
because I choosed Windows (option #2) as default,
and can't go up to #0.

I ask you a suggestion on what to do to avoid this problem again, on next Kali install.
I didn't really change anything in particular after installation, I just updated packages and edited /etc/default/grub with a update-grub.

Thanks,
Nokao

somethimes for that type of errors you can use boot repair cd
also you should always check sha1sum before making boot usb/dvd

It's possible some file was corrupted, I used an old USB stick to make the whole thing.
However, I'm unsure on what caused the problem.

I will just reinstall, cause this is a brand new installation, and then write you back if the same problem occurs again.
