View Full Version : Wifi strength reduced on laptop

So i have Kali Linux and Windows 10 both installed on my Laptop and in Windows 10 I am able to get Good/Strong Wifi signal 'X' Distance from my router, the same distance from my router while using Kali linux I cannot connect to my wifi network. When I get closer and connect then go back to 'X' distance from my router I get very Weak/None signal in kali.
Is there something I am missing? (Wlan0 and Eth0 both appear in ifconfig and Eth0 works fine)

The transmit power looks about normal to me. Is wlan0 a built-in wireless card, or an external one?

Its that yout tx-power is very good, so it might be graphical issue nothing more, are you facing any problem with your internet connection, try to ping the router or a dns server, website and check if your have any timeout reply or delay in the echo with the router if not don't worry about the wifi rang icon because your tx-power is great, please post the ping outpout to the access point and a website
