I have a kali-rolling vm that I am setting up. Host is a mac using virtualbox. I booted into it with the iso. 64-bit debian setup. I installed it on the virtual harddisk and then updated. The first thing I like to fix is the resolution so I followed the kali docs instructions. apt-get install virtualbox-guest-x11 and rebooted. The resolution fixed, but shared folders and shared clipboard doesnt work.
Any troubleshooting ideas? I apt-get removed the guest additions and then installed them again. Same problem.
I don't think it's a host problem. I had a previous kali vm that I deleted because I hadn't allocated enough diskspace. It had both shared folders and shared clipboard working.
