I have a kali server in LA/US.
IP:107.150.100.X From:American UCloud.

cat /etc/apt/sources.list
deb http://http.kali.org/kali kali-rolling main contrib non-free
deb-src http://http.kali.org/kali kali-rolling main contrib non-free

but when I run "apt-get update". http.kali.org redirect me to CN.

apt-get update
Hit:1 http://mirror.hust.edu.cn/kali kali-rolling InRelease

Is that Http-DNS? How does the server decide my location? IP? Company? Language?Timezone(this setting is Pacific Ocean)? Or any other things? Pls tell me.

Maybe it's a bug on redirect?

Thanks for help.

(It's very important and emerency. Because of the wrong redirect and China Great Firewall(GFW), the update is downloaded in only 16KBps or lower.)

You could try changing mirrors: change-repositories-different-mirror (https://www.blackmoreops.com/2013/11/14/change-repositories-different-mirror/)
