Hey every1,
i just started installing the android sdk tools in my kali vm:

Downloaded the command line tools gzip directly from the android site & "android update sdk" brought up the sdk manager in which i selected to install / update the sdk tools, sdk platform-tool, google usb driver & android support repository.
During download i noticed that it says in the update manager under Extras>Google USB Driver: Not compatible with linux.

Is or will that be(come) a problem?

That makes me wonder, because here it's said the google usb drivers are required:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-5x/general/guides-how-to-guides-beginners-t3206930
However, in that nexus5x rooting xda thread a windows environment is expected...

Will KaliNH LRT work without google usb drivers on linux? Why are the drivers not compatible with linux? Are they only required by windows users?

pls help

Hi @PierreLaCroixDeLacour,

Never tryed to flash from a VM. Care here, do this from the physical machine, flashing is a "dangerous/sensitive" operation.

> Will KaliNH LRT work without google usb drivers on linux?

Yes, linux has all the stuff needed built in!

> Are they only required by windows users?

Yes.
