VMWare Virtualbox 5.1.8 and Kali Linux 2016.2 rolling - signon issue

Hello...
Assistance please...
I have installed VMWare VirtalBox 5.1.8 and Kali Linux 2016.2 Rolling...

When I download and install the following...
- VirtualBox 5.1.8 Oracle VM VirtualBox Extension Pack 5.1.8 111374
- apt-get install virtualbox-guest-x11
- apt-get update
- apt-get install terminator

I start Kali Linux...it keeps reverting me back to the User sign-on...

Any idea what the issue may be?
I can post the log...if need be.
