Hello everyone,

I'm experiencing some weird problem since last dist-upgrade (2016-22-02)... I can't install any software via apt no more, and if I try to do an apt-get update I got the following:

root@machine:~# apt-get update
Ign:1 http://http.kali.org/kali kali-rolling InRelease
Err:2 http://http.kali.org/kali kali-rolling Release
504 Connect to http.kali.org:80 failed: Connection refused
Lecture des listes de paquets... Fait
E: The repository 'http://http.kali.org/kali kali-rolling Release' does no longer have a Release file.
N: Updating from such a repository can't be done securely, and is therefore disabled by default.
N: See apt-secure(8) manpage for repository creation and user configuration details.

I checked the file /etc/apt/sources.list but it seems correctly filled... I don't know how to get rid of these errors, any idea someone?

Thank you all for support :)
(I use kali 2016.2)

Can you show the output of cat /etc/apt/sources.list?

Might be that the repos were down. Any luck trying again? Can you reach the repos via browser?

Ok,

I tried several different config for the /etc/apt/sources.list file, it was impossible to get the apt tool working properly, even with the original version of it.
About the repos, I could reach them correctly with another machine... I didn't understand where the problem came from. I guess something was wrong with the last system update but don't know what.
Whatever, I've made a fresh install replacing the corrupted system and everything is OK now. Thank you all for your help :)
