Non Kali Repo

My sources.list file contains just one line

deb http://kali.mirror.garr.it/mirrors/kali kali-rolling main contrib non-free

But how come it downloads vscode from microsoft repo. Though I have installed vscode but not included its repo. Similar thing happens with google-chrome too. There is screenshot below:

I just want to understand if there are others ways of downloading repos.

They are centralizing their repositories. In earlier days you have to add multiple repositories one for packages, one for security patches, one for proprietary drivers etc. Nowdays you will notice only one. They are just moving things into one to make it more simple and easy. They are more focusing on mirrors to offer fast downloads.
