Kali rolling Live USB persistance - Make use of whole USB memory ?

Hi

Im running Kali rolling live from a Kingston Datatraveler 100 G3 16gb usb stick,
Im using the Live USB persistance option but it only uses a tiny but of the USB sticks memory about 3gb
HOW do I make it so it uses the whole 16gb ?

For example i tried installing some bigger program and it complained about the disk getting low on memory....
