Problem with R.A.T.

hello,
I have R.A.T. 7 mouse and it won't work properly unless I kill X with alt+prtScr+k and log in again.
I tried already follow some tutorials with editing xorg.conf but only result were fail gdm3 to boot.
Is there any permanent fix for that issue?

fyi: I have issues with the RAT7 freezing and sometimes the buttons fail to function as expected (ie: couldn't close a window by clicking [x])
