I recently bought and attempted to use an Insignia dual hard drive docking station to access a couple of different HDDs. The laptop makes the sound indicating that devices have been connected. The docking station lights come on indicating that it it reading the drives. Also the drives are spinning. However, the system doesnt indicate in any other way that they are there. The manual says that the docking station is plug and play. The docking station is compatible with linux.
HDD Info
One of them is a 1 TB Internal hard drive from my desktop. It has an HDD password.
The other is a 3 TB external WD30EZRX. It has been removed from its original case. I believe it is also encrypted with a password. I know the password however.
I also bought a new 1 TB internal HDD that has never been used. After formatting with GParted I could use it.
I can see the other two drives with GParted. However when opening gparted they have several errors under the information tab. Output follows.

HDD Info
One of them is a 1 TB Internal hard drive from my desktop. It has an HDD password.
The other is a 3 TB external WD30EZRX. It has been removed from its original case. I believe it is also encrypted with a password. I know the password however.
I also bought a new 1 TB internal HDD that has never been used. After formatting with GParted I could use it.
I can see the other two drives with GParted. However when opening gparted they have several errors under the information tab. Output follows.
