Hi,

I'm trying to install Kali 2018 3a amd64.
I've prepared a USB drive using Rufus, booted into it (UEFI) and selected text installation (after several failed attempts using the graphical one).
I go through the steps until it begins the installation, upon reaching 87% I get an error saying "No space left on device" and the installation goes into a loop repeating that message at the bottom of the screen.
I'm installing Kali onto a 500gb HDD using the entire drive so I'm not sure how exactly is the installation running out of space.

System is:

Dell Inspiron 7359 laptop
CPU: Intel Core I3 6100U
RAM: 8GB DDR3L
HDD: 500gb 5400rpm HDD Western Digital

Has anyone run into this? What am I doing wrong?

Are you 100% sure you selected the correct device? My guess is that you selected the thumbdrive.

i think you were installing on another drive which has no enough space .

Obviously. And you need at least 8Gb of disk space. I would recommend more than that for updates and stuff you'll install.

Hello all.

I'm getting the same error when I am trying to install Kali to 1 TB hard drive.
I completely deleted the drive and try again, the issue occurs again.
After %87 it cancels the installation and says fclose no space left on device.

Looking for any solutions.
Kind regards.
