Hello,
What setting do I tweak in Kali 2019 VMware Edition that allows me to drag program icons from the menu to the desktop???
The desktop I'm using is Gnome Fallback Mode a.k.a Nautilus.

Also,
How do I configure and install VMware tools in Kali 2019.1 VMware edition???

Thanx in Advance,
Mike a.k.a "Buttmunch"

VMware is irrelevant in this case. But no idea on that first question, I never bothered.

apt install open-vm-tools-gui

They are already installed if you downloaded the VM.

Disclaimer:
I do a full install of Kali Light on a hard drive.
I do not use the Kali 2019 VMware Edition.
That said...

Check for the program 'Application Finder'.
In the Kali Light install:
Accessories Menu > Application Finder
May be installed as 'xfce4-appfinder'

Using Application Finder...
Program icons may be dragged to the desktop.
see attached image.

Does that work with the Kali 2019 VMware Edition?
