I had trouble booting my laptop and someone saw the Kali dragon.

Then I used gimp to black the files for GRUB and used different wallpapers.
But after dist-upgrades the GRUB wallpaper was restored to the kali one.

How can I get rid of all Kali Linux wallpapers and dragons, reliably and dist-upgrade-survivable?

use kali-undercover :) No one will notice the dragon any more...
What's wrong with the dragon?

So, kali-undercover removes the GRUB wallpaper too?
Not for me, is this a bug?

Yes, it should show the blue window of win10. https://esgeeks.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Kali-Undercover-parecido-a-Windows.jpg

The GRUB wallpaper will not be changed with kali-undercover. It only changes the xfce settings.
