Hey guys, I've been trying to install Kali Linux on my laptop because I'm tired of Windows and I really wanna learn about IT security. I installed it without any problem, but when I used apt update && apt upgrade and reboot my laptop I'm not able to login. It shows me the credential screen but when I write them down and press Enter it only shows me a black screen

What I tried:

1.- https://patrickmutuku.com/solved-kali-linux-grey-black-screen-after-login/ (lightdm)
2.- https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/448093/kali-linux-goes-to-grey-screen-after-log-on-fresh-install (nouveau.modeset=0)

Laptop specs:

Model: 3PX48LA
CPU: AMD Ryzen? 3 2200U (2.5 GHz base frequency, up to 3.4 GHz burst frequency, 1 MB cache, 2 cores)
GPU: AMD Radeon? Vega 3 Graphics

lspci |grep VGA results:

VGA_compatible controller: Advanced micro devices, Inc [AMD/ATI] Raven Ridge [Radeon Vega Series / Radeon Vega Mobile Series] (rev c5)

Im gonna be waiting for your comments

(Sorry for my bad english...)

Try to login to terminal ctrl + alt + f2
then delete or move .config ( your personal setting will gone )
after that login normaly and disable compositor in windows manager tweak (I think this is xfce thing with amdgpu)
that's work for me.

Try to access terminal with ctrl + alt + f2 then delete .config (your personal setting will gone by the way)
after that logon normally and disable compositor in windows manager tweak (I think this is xfce thing and amdgpu)
that's work for me, for compositor if it not latest XFCE I always use compton.
