Hello,
I will explain:
1. After installing Kali Mate iso I installed KDE desktop using apt-get. Normally you would probably run upgrades first but I did not.
2. Now I tried to run upgrades. After entering the apt-get upgrade it just sits there doing nothing. Even if I run just apt-get install packagename I still get the same thing. I tried the whole process again and got the same thing. Does anybody know why installing KDE would break the package manager and perhaps a work around since it can be repeated? Normally I use yum, rpm, and dnf with repairdb or maybe it is rebuilddb. I want to see if I can recover without reinstalling Kali all over again. I tried running apt-cache clean and autoremove.
