View Full Version : Trying to use ettercap-graphical but have no menus available
I have just installed Linux kal 5.4.0-kali3-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 5.4.13-1kali1 (2020-01-20) x86_64 and I'm trying to use ettercap-graphical 0.8.3 but I don't have/see the File|Sniff|Options|Info menus as in 0.8.2
Here's a short video about this:

What could be the issue?
Run it as a privileged user with sudo ettercap -G.
“ettercap-gtk” is no longer a good package. Try doing: “sudo apt-get update” followed by “sudo apt-get install ettercap-graphical". This worked on my Ubantu VM. -Tim Lewis, Mirazon Engineer
Wireshark and tshark are packet capture tools for analysis and can be used to see arp poisoning in
Speed Test (https://testmyspeed.onl/) Scrabble Word Finder (https://scrabblewordfinder.vip/) Solitaire (https://solitaire.onl/)action. Ettercap actually performs the arp poisoning. -Tim Lewis, Mirazon Engineer

Changed setup settings by disabling "sniffing at startup" and enabling "bridged sniffing." Click on accept?close and re-open.

I have encounter the same issue. Did reinstall ettercap-graphical, but did not change. And did the latest advice by "shinnok" but still the issue persists. Any one can support to solve it?
