I got Kali Linux loaded on Linux deploy on my tablet, it comes with a really trimmed down version of Kali, and I'm trying to run some basic cmds and I have no permission. I did not set any root access and I did not create any users, I am logged in as the default android but cannot escalate beyond that. What am I missing? I have tried to Google and so far no luck. I have tried root | toor and now kali | kali

Any help would be great, I am not sure what I am missing. Thanks,

No sure how Linux deploy generates their images.
Why don't you try an official NetHunter image instead: https://www.offensive-security.com/kali-linux-nethunter-download/
They shouldn't give you any grief

Thanks for the advice, I actually found the apk for nethunter and download it onto my tablet separate from linux deploy. From there installed all the tools that are associated with it.

I would still love to get this Kali up and running.
