Blank Boot Menu when starting up in Hyper-V [Archive]

Hi All,

Fresh install of Kali. Verified the hash. Upon booting for the first time, the Kali boot screen appears but no options for the menu. Is this normal?

Virtual Machine settings as follows:

Generation 1
2GB Memory
2 CPU
15GB HDD space

So after waiting 25 minutes, it decided to boot into the OS by itself. I'm now in a kali live user session. Can anyone explain what this? I was given no options to setup the OS etc. I then locked the account and have no idea what the login is.

I created a Hyper v kaili vm and I have the same issue. It just boots up with out the install process.. Help us.
