Hello,

I am working on showing a demonstration of how to hack into a legacy version of Windows from Kali Linux using physical hardware on a closed network, however I seem to have run into a hurdle. Attempting to do commands in meterpreter such as screenshots, screenshares, mouse movement, etc. causes svchost.exe to crash on Windows 2000 SP4, and causes the system to shutdown entirely on Windows XP SP0 and SP1, displaying this error message:

3863

The hardware for the Windows client is as follows:

- AOpen MX3W Pro Motherboard
- Intel Celeron Coppermine @ 700MHz
- 256MB PC133 RAM
- Matrox Millennium G200 PCI
- 3Com 3CSOHO100-TX Network Card

I have found lying about a spare Realtek RTL8139C network card so I will be sure to test out if that will help the issue out at all, but please let me know if anybody can diagnose the problem at all as all I have determined is it is a hardware issue, rather than a software issue.

Thank you,
npxp.
